Our little man's birthplace

As we prepare for our trip (17 days & counting), one of the things we're so looking forward to is visiting Dag's birthplace - Debre Tabor. If you look at the map, Debre Tabor is just to the right of Lake Tana. Dag spent the first three weeks of his life at the Bete Histante orphanage in Bahir Dar (southern tip of Lake Tana) before he was sent to the WACAP house in Addis Ababa. We don't know Dag's family history so it is really important to us that he have as much information as possible about his birthplace and heritage. With that, we are planning to visit the BH orphanage, spend time with the children and orphanage director and then travel to Debre Tabor to visit with the police officer who found Dagmawi. We're hoping to find out a little more information about his birth...which many families often do. I'm so thankful we have this opportunity to build a history for him.
