HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful husband!!! As many of you know, my husband is obsessed with Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc cookbook and has tested almost every recipe within its pages (it's a wonder I don't weigh a million lbs). So for his birthday I thought I'd take him to Napa (only a sick 40 miles away) and dinner at Ad Hoc and the land of Keller. The meal was incredible...everything Nick was hoping for and Luke was a gem throughout charming the staff and diners alike.
We'd been to Napa/Sonoma several times but to our amazement never passed through Yountville so had no idea all three famous Keller restaurants could be found on the "adorable" main street. French Laundry has a big beautiful garden across the street from the restaurant where most of the herbs and vegetables are grown. It was a fun weekend, great weather, great food, great wine and a very happy birthday boy.
